Data deletion request
Your privacy matters to us. Here is exactly how to have your personal data removed from our systems.
Data deletion policy
WAAP TRAVELS LTD respects user privacy and provides the ability to request deletion of personal data.
If you wish to request deletion of personal data collected through our WhatsApp Business API or Facebook integration, follow these steps:
- Send an email to info@waaptravels.com
- Use the subject line “Data Deletion Request”
- Include your full name and the phone number you used to contact WAAP Travels
Once we receive your request we will verify your identity and permanently delete your personal data from our systems within 7 business days, unless retention is required for legal or regulatory purposes.
What we may have to keep
Some records cannot be deleted immediately because Ghanaian law, or the authorities we filed on your behalf with, require us to hold them:
- Visa and application records — retained up to 5 years
- WhatsApp communication records — retained up to 2 years
- Financial and accounting records, where tax law requires it
Where a record must be retained, we will tell you which one and why, and delete everything else.
Stopping WhatsApp messages
If you only want to stop receiving messages rather than delete your data, send STOP to our WhatsApp number or email info@waaptravels.com. We will end service messaging without removing your application file.
